      • Charles received the Victory Medal and British in WWI. Served in the trenches in France. In 1924 he received a general service medal and Iraq clasp. He collapsed in the street in Bell Lane, Birdham, Sussex. Dead on arrival at St. Richard's Hospital in Chichester.
