"Jack" worked in the oil industry all of his life. He started with Mueller Machinary in Turner Valley, AB. He moved to Calgary in 1940 and worked for Barber Machinary. After a reorganization, he became vice president and general manager of Barber Engineering. He was a founding member of the Manchester Rotary Club. He was truly a gentleman with a profound sense of humour. Florence's mother and older brother Arthur came to Quebec from Liverpool, Eng. aboard the 'Canada' on July 24, 1908. They came to join her father who had come ahead and was living in Winnipeg, MB.
John married Florence Elizabeth MALBY on 03 Jun 1939 in Winnipeg, MB. Florence (daughter of Frederick Joseph MALBY and Florence MARZETTI) was born on 30 Jan 1910 in Winnipeg, MB; died on 23 Jun 1998 in Calgary, AB. [Group Sheet] [Family Chart]

He had an insatiable sense of humour and a born salesman. Like his dad, he aspired to become part of the management team of an engineering company. When he retired, due to ill health, he was a partner at McDonald Engineering. Hazel remarried to Tom Edmison and they live in Sydney, BC.
